From the E-Journal

I ran into a girl the lobby who gave me a free item. The people here are so generous! At any rate, I am now the proud owner of Quick Claw. This is an item that can be held and used by a Pokémon. I’ll have to think about which of my Pokémon I want to have it.

Pokémon Watches for the World!

I finally found him. He was actually standing in from of the iPokétch Company building. If you ask me, that isn’t much of a hiding spot at all, because they are they people giving away the iPokétch. His question did take a little thought, but I answered it correctly none the less. I went to trade my coupons in for the iPokétch. So far it came loaded with the following applications: Digital Watch, Pokémon List, Calculator, and Pedometer. Turns out the guy who was giving away the free iPokétch is also the President of the company. I went back to the iPokétch Company building to see him. He said he already had a new app. In development, but that it wouldn’t be ready until I had earned a badge. How does he even know that? That is kind of creepy.

I was also interviewed for Jubilife TV about my new iPokétch. So you should be seeing me on the TV soon enough. The asked me about my favorite app., right now it's the Pedometer because it is the most useful.

Well that was enough excitement for one day. Tomorrow I will be heading off to Oreburgh City to try for my first Gym Badge. For now though, I’ll be heading to bed to rest up for the trip. If you want to find me, I’ll be staying at the Jubilife Condominiums.

I somehow managed to find the third clown before I found the second one. No, really! I have coupon number three. I spotted this clown in front of the Jubilife TV station. His question was almost as easy as the first. Now, off to find the second and for some reason, final clown.

I found the first clown by the Pokémart on the East side of Jubilife city. His question didn’t seem too difficult, and he handed of the coupon once I correctly answered. I wonder what would happen if I got it wrong. No time to worry about it now. One coupon down, I still have two more to find.

3-clowns with 3-tickets...

I tried to enter the Global Terminal, but was denied access because I have not earned any badges. I’m not sure why I need to have a badge to enter it, but I’m sure my patience will pay off in the long run.

With nothing better to do, I went to explore the rest of Jubilife City. A gentleman approached me and asked me where my iPokétch (short for Pokémon Watch) was. After telling him I didn’t own one, he offered to give me one if I could locate three-clowns. Each of the clowns would ask me a question. If got the answer right, I would win a coupon. I could then trade 3-coupons for an iPokétch. Apparently it was some sort of weird promotion thing that was going on. It’s free, so I don’t see the harm in playing along.

The first step for trainers

Tariun was indeed at the Trainers’ School. He appeared to be deep in thought about something he was looking at on the blackboard. I gave him the Parcel his mother had entrusted me with, turns out it held two Town Maps. Since Tariun only needed one of them, he let me have the other one to use. After looking at his copy, he spotted a Gym in the next city over. The Oreburgh City Gym to be exact. The he bolted off to earn his first badge by challenging the Gym Leader there.

I noticed there was an item left on the floor. It was X Attack; I’m not sure if Tariun dropped it, or if it belonged to someone else. I decided to hold on to it for safe keeping in case it did belong to him.

I even had a chance to do some battles in the school:

Jubilife City: Trainers’ School: Trainer Battles

School Kid Harrison

School Kid Harrison also gave me a Potion for defeating him. After which I went to the nearest Pokémon Center to heal my Pokémon up a bit before exploring the city more. Nape Ape is now at level 10 and rising.

Jubilife City: City of Joy

It seems like I run into Dawn everywhere I go. I guess that is because she is pretty much working for Prof. Rowan just like I am. In Jubilife City, Dawn and I ran into a strange character that referred to himself as “Looker”. He claims to be a member of the International Police. He said he was looking for some people who were taking things that didn’t belong to them. He acted very suspicious. He also gave me the VS. Recorder, although, I'm not exactly sure what it is for.

Dawn also mentioned that Tariun might be hanging out at the Trainer School. This is a place were trainers go to learn different Pokémon battle techniques and tactics. I can’t imagine Tariun can sit still long enough to learn anything. Hopefully he will be there tomorrow. For now, both my Pokémon and I need a rest.
